Conta addressed this by designing a high-tolerance, fiber-reinforced jointless concrete floor slab. By utilizing specialized shrinkage-compensating cement and eliminating traditional saw-cut joints, we prevented the common edge-spalling issues that typically disrupt industrial workflows. The entire structural grid utilizes premium, anti-corrosive structural steel coated with industrial-grade intumescent and chemical-resistant finishes, protecting the core framework from chemical exposure and high humidity.

Resilient Building Envelope and Thermal Performance

To secure the building against external environmental factors and optimize energy retention, Conta engineered a heavy-duty, multi-layered building envelope. We deployed high-impact, insulated metal panels (IMPs) with superior thermal resistance (R-value) ratings, drastically reducing the load on the facility’s HVAC systems. The roofing system was built using a reinforced, multi-ply thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane, specifically engineered to withstand severe weather events, puncturing, and prolonged UV exposure, thereby preventing costly water ingress that could compromise high-value automated inventory.
