French Champion Kids

Program Overview

French Champion Kids is our most prestigious and rigorous program, designed for elite young learners who are ready to achieve a near-native level of linguistic mastery. At this stage, the "language barrier" is completely dismantled. We treat French not just as a subject of study, but as a primary tool for leadership, complex reasoning, and global citizenship. Students engage with the language at a sophisticated level, tackling philosophy, global diplomacy, and advanced creative arts. This program is specifically engineered to prepare students for the demands of international bilingual environments and high-stakes certifications. A "Champion" doesn't just speak French fluently; they possess the cultural nuance and rhetorical power to lead, persuade, and inspire in any Francophone setting.

Target Age & Level

  • Target Age: 12 – 15 years old (Secondary / Middle School Students)

  • Level: Advanced (Champion – Preparing for B1/B2 CEFR Standards)

  • Class Size: Exclusive groups of 4 – 6 students to ensure high-intensity interaction and expert mentorship.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this ultimate tier, your child will have achieved the highest milestones in youth language education:

  • Spontaneous Rhetoric: The ability to speak fluently and persuasively on complex, abstract topics without prior preparation, using sophisticated idioms and precise academic vocabulary.

  • Advanced Literary Analysis: Mastery in deconstructing French literature, media, and cinema, allowing the student to identify subtext, tone, and cultural metaphors with critical depth.

  • Professional Writing Standards: The skill to draft high-level formal essays, persuasive articles, and structured reports that meet the rigorous standards of international French-speaking schools.

  • Certification Readiness: Comprehensive preparation for official examinations such as the DELF Junior (B1/B2), ensuring their skills are recognized by educational institutions worldwide.

Course Curriculum

(A high-level 12-week journey into advanced leadership and fluency)

  • Weeks 1-3: The Power of Persuasion & Debate Students master the art of "L'Argumentation." We focus on the Subjonctif and Conditionnel Passé to express nuances of doubt, necessity, and regret. Students learn to build complex logical structures to defend their positions in formal debates.

  • Weeks 4-6: Francophone Civilizations & Diplomacy This module explores the geopolitical influence of the French language across five continents. Students act as "Diplomats," researching the history, economy, and social issues of various Francophone nations and presenting their findings in a simulated international summit.

  • Weeks 7-9: Journalism, Ethics & Modern Media Students become creators of content. They analyze French news outlets (like Le Monde or TV5Monde), learn to identify bias, and work together to produce their own digital "Kidlan French Magazine," featuring interviews, editorials, and investigative reports.

  • Weeks 10-12: Philosophy, Future & Graduation Thesis The final weeks challenge students to think about abstract concepts—justice, happiness, and technology. The program culminates in a "Grand Oral" (a formal oral thesis) where students present a deep-dive project on a topic of their choice before a panel of educators.

Key Activities

  • The Kidlan Model UN (United Nations): A signature activity where students represent different countries and negotiate solutions to global crises, using formal French diplomatic protocol and terminology.

  • Advanced Creative Workshop: Students write and direct their own short French films or theatrical scenes, focusing on the nuances of "Verlan" (slang), register (formal vs. informal), and emotional expression.

  • International Mentorship Sessions: Occasional guest appearances by native French professionals (authors, engineers, or artists) to provide students with real-world exposure to high-level professional French.

  • Mock DELF Examinations: Rigorous, timed practice sessions that simulate the real-world conditions of international language exams, building the stamina and strategy required for academic success.
